About the Author

Shelina Lalji has spent nearly two decades telling drivers the same thing: “You shouldn’t have to navigate the legal system alone. Here’s how we fix that.” She is the Founder and President of JUSTICEJOLT®: Legal Defence for Drivers©, a virtual legal platform helping drivers across Ontario and Manitoba fight traffic tickets without breaking the bank. She started as a licensed paralegal in 2008 and learned the system from the ground up. By 2015, she became Master Franchisee of POINTTS™ The Traffic Ticket Specialists, expanding traffic ticket defence across Ontario and Manitoba, case by case. The legal community took notice. Shelina was elected as a Bencher at the Law Society of Ontario from 2019 to 2023 and has sat as an adjudicator for the Law Society Tribunal, giving her an inside understanding of how the legal system really works and where it fails everyday drivers. She is currently pursuing her LLB at the University of London. Still learning. Still pushing. In 2025, she launched JUSTICEJOLT®, her boldest move yet, to give Ontario and Manitoba drivers affordable, expert legal representation when it matters most. Outside the courtroom, she mentors the next generation of legal professionals and works as a philanthropist committed to breaking the cycle of poverty across Ontario. Entrepreneur. Advocate.
