Some of these offences are:
- Fail to Register Vehicle
- No Validation on Plate
- Draw Trailer no Permit
- Drive Unsafe Vehicle
- Daily Log
- Detached Wheel
- Inspection Reports
- Insecure Loads
- Improper Class of Licence
- No Insurance
- Operate Vehicle – No Valid Registration
- Overweight Vehicle
- Speed Limiter
CVOR Ticket Penalties
CVOR tickets can have several negative consequences for both commercial drivers and trucking companies.
For commercial drivers, an increased number of convictions can lead to higher insurance premiums and challenges in securing driving employment opportunities.
For truck owners and transportation companies, the accumulation of CVOR tickets can result in a lower Safety Rating assigned by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
A lower rating can subsequently impact their licensing fees and insurance costs.
Warning letters serve as a notification to emphasize that the accumulation of points can lead to additional actions taken by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
Continued safety concerns may necessitate attending a show-cause hearing with the MTO to prevent sanctions from being imposed. These penalties can vary, including restrictions on fleet size, license plate confiscation, suspension, or even the revocation of your operating privileges.
